Jim Webb- Principal Architect

Jim Webb graduated Southern Technical Institute (Kennesaw State University Marietta Campus) in 1975 with a Batchelor Degree in Architecture. He has been licensed in Georgia and South Carolina for over 25 years now. He founded Sandeford and Webb Architects in 1985 with John Sandeford, a firm well known for high quality residential and traditional architecture. That excellence was continued in the forming of Studio 3 Design Group in 2003 along with Richard Hinman and Dee Beaird.
Jim specializes in residential design, whether single or multiple family. He is also well versed in historic preservation design, especially in housing adaptive reuse projects. Religious, small commercial and office buildings are also part of this portfolio of design projects. In the office, he manages his projects and works closely with the staff to guarantee the design, production and budget meet each client's needs. He also manages the task of keeping the software and computers up to date and answering technical questions on the applications of the CAD software.
In the community, Jim has been involved with several civic and professional organizations. He is a past member of the Rotary Club, Masters City Sertoma Club, where he served as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Sargeant of Arms and the American Institute of Architects (local, state, and national). He served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the local Augusta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Jim is an avid fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and Greene and Greene architecture. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, home, friends and pets. On crisp fall days, you may find him on a joy ride on his Harley Sportster or enjoying occasional round of golf.
