Nancy Guinn Memorial Library
Improvements to the Nancy Guinn Memorial Library consisted of the renovations of an existing 2 story, 38,800 SF facility, as well as a new 2 story, 8,400 SF addition. In the existing library, the interior layout was redesigned to provide inviting, open, well lit spaces for the patrons and staff. All mechanical and lighting systems were re engineered to meet current code and energy standards. The new addition was designed to provide a seamless transition from the existing building to the new structure. The exterior materials match the existing building. Interior design services were also provided. The project consisted of new mill work interior finishes and furniture throughout. During construction, the library remained in operation. Phasing allowed the main floor renovations and addition to occur first, followed by the lower floor renovations.
