Georgia Southern University- Science Building
Designed in association with Hughes/Beattie & Associates, Architects of Augusta, Georgia, the new 113,000 square foot facility houses classrooms, laboratories and faculty spaces for the biology, chemistry, physics and psychology departments of Georgia Regents University. The separate disciplines are arranged vertically, each department with its own floor. An open atrium at the main entrance connects the floors spatially, and for primary circulation. The exterior architecture of the building is designed to accentuate the adjacent brick structures.
