Williams Center, Georgia Southern University
Renovations to the 16,000 square foot Williams center turned the underutilized building into a new home for the Student Organizations of Georgia Southern. The former cafeteria is now a Multi-Purpose room used for campus events, meetings, and more. The original Mondrian-like windows serve as design inspiration of the renovation. For the project, Studio 3 Design Group completed an envelope assessment, which included replacing all the original windows with historically accurate, but energy efficient, types. The original Mondrian-like windows were removed, restored, and re-installed to preserve the historic value.
