Meet the Team
About
Samuel "Dee" Beaird is a graduate of Clemson University, where he received his Bachelors in Science (1986) and Masters of Architecture (1988). During his time in graduate school, Dee was fortunate enough to spend 5 months living in Genoa, Italy, as part of Clemson's Study Abroad Program. He is registered in the states of Georgia and South Carolina. As one of the three principals at Studio 3, Dee manages many of the firm's design projects, working closely with staff to ensure the highest quality design and production of each project. He manages the firm's public work, including projects for churches, schools, libraries, and government facilities. Dee enjoys his involvement in community and professional organizations. He has worked as a trustee with his church, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and has served three terms as President of the Augusta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Dee is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Augusta. In his free time, Dee enjoys playing golf and tennis, spending time with his family, and Clemson football games. EDUCATION

About
Jim Webb graduated Southern Technical Institute (Kennesaw State University Marietta Campus) in 1975 with a Bachelor Degree in Architecture. He has been licensed in Georgia and South Carolina for over 25 years. He founded Sandeford and Webb Architects in 1985 with John Sandeford, a firm well known for high quality residential and traditional architecture. That excellence was continued in the forming of Studio 3 Design Group in 2003 along with Richard Hinman and Dee Beaird. Jim specializes in residential design, whether single or multiple family. He is also well versed in historic preservation design, especially in housing adaptive reuse projects. Religious, small commercial and office buildings are also part of this portfolio of design projects. In the office, he manages his projects and works closely with the staff to guarantee the design, production and budget meet each client's needs. He also manages the task of keeping the software and computers up to date and answering technical questions on the applications of the CAD software. In the community, Jim has been involved with several civic and professional organizations. He is a past member of the Rotary Club, Masters City Sertoma Club, where he served as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Sergeant of Arms and the American Institute of Architects (local, state, and national). He served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the local Augusta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Jim is an avid fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and Greene and Greene architecture. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, home, friends and pets. On crisp fall days, you may find him on a joy ride on his Harley Sportster or enjoying occasional round of golf. education

Ellen Pruitt graduated magna cum laud with her B.S. in Design from Clemson University in 1985 and a Master of Architecture degree in 1987. She spent semesters studying in Italy and England which greatly shaped her design vision. Her thesis focused on historic preservation, and she has continued this passion in her professional life, designing multiple adaptive reuse and renovation projects as well as teaching architectural history at Augusta University and in the community. She believes that "God is in the details" (Mies van der Rohe) and is known for her thorough design and focus on detail. She has been a registered Architect in Georgia since 1991. Ellen spent the first several years of her career with another Augusta architectural firm, then after a hiatus to Minnesota and the arrival of her children, she formed Ellen Neal Pruitt, Architect, a residential design and historic preservation firm. After 17 years of being a sole proprietor and raising a family, she joined Studio 3 in 2012 as a Project Architect. Ellen continues to specialize in residential projects of all sizes and complexities and especially loves a great old building project. Ellen has been in involved with various community agencies, including Historic Augusta, the Junior League of Augusta, the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art, and the American Institute of Architects. She is an active member of First Presbyterian Church and has served in various volunteer roles for Westminster Schools of Augusta. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her three children, and she also enjoys traveling, cooking, and working on her own old house. education

Jacob joined Studio 3 Design Group in May of 2017, after graduating from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Construction Management. Jacob was seeking an internship position that will allow his passion and creativity to thrive. Jacob's personal approach to Architecture incorporates the entire design process: Research, Programming, Schematics, Development and Presentation. Jacob has great communication, collaborative work and leadership skills. In his spare time, he loves to hunt and fish. education

Lauren joined Studio 3 Design Group in July 2018. Lauren received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In May 2018 she graduated from Clemson University with her Masters of Science in Historic Preservation. While in school, Lauren gained experience by working with an architecture firm in Charleston, SC whose work focused on historic renovation and custom home design. Lauren's passion for historic structures and new construction has found her a place to grow and flourish. education

ABOUT
Anastasia Black graduated magma cum laude from Georgia Southern University in 2018 with a B.S. in Interior Design. She earned experience while in school working with both architectural and engineering firms. Anastasia has gained experience since graduation by working on a wide variety of commercial and residential projects under the supervision of experienced architects and designers. She most recently worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Hospitals which allowed her to gain a deep understanding of clinical care design. She is bringing this wide range of experience to Studio 3 where she is excited to expand the interiors department to allow full-service offerings to their clients. In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking with her dog Koda, and working towards her reading goal of 200 books a year. You can find Anastasia in the aerial yoga swing obtaining some weekly relaxation or acting as the official taste tester for her husband’s culinary concoctions. EDUCATION

Sevleta Filipovic has been a member of Studio 3 Design Group for over 15 years, originally joining the team at inception and recently rejoining the team in 2014. She received a degree in architecture from Banja Luka Technical Institute of Architecture, followed by a degree from the University of Zagreb in 1982. Sela was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and immigrated to USA with her husband and son in 1994. She brings over 30 years of experience in architecture and design to Studio 3, having worked across a range of sectors such as education, healthcare, government, industrial, as well as a rich portfolio of residential work. Sela's broad experience across two continents, combined with her passion for architecture make her a valuable part of our team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, frequently attending live sporting events as an avid fan of Furman football and Bosnia national soccer team. Her husband, Damir, works in the construction industry, making dinner conversations quite interesting. Education
