Designed in association with Hughes/Beattie & Associates, the new facility houses classrooms, laboratories and faculty spaces for the biology, chemistry, physics and psychology departments of Augusta University (formerly Georgia Regents University). The separate disciplines are arranged vertically, each department with its own floor. An open atrium at the main entrance connects the floors spatially and provides primary circulation. The exterior architecture of the building is designed to accentuate the adjacent brick structures.
