The Junior Interior Designer is responsible for developing and producing high quality project design deliverables in both construction documents and FF&E. Applicants should possess strong design presentation and problem-solving skills. They can work on any/all phases of design including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. They will report to the designated architect and Senior Interior Designer on certain tasks and deliverables, and work directly with him/her to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion. They will also take on projects independently with guidance/oversight from the Senior Interior Designer as situation and ability allow.

Job Duties
- Visiting project sites with architect or senior interior designer to analyze space availability, design needs and the utilization of the space.
- Represent the interiors team at client presentations to understand client concept and accurately relay that to the design team.
- Assist in schematic design + presentation preparation.
- Develop and document millwork details, finishes, material palettes, furnishings and specifications that are consistent with the design direction and support the overall quality of the project.
- Promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Assist senior interior designer in selecting fixtures and finishes.
- Create initial design concepts, sketches, and color themes based on client requirements and space utilization.
- Assist and learn the production of furniture & finish packages, along with cost estimating.
- Produce slide decks for FF&E procurement and selections with senior designer.
- Assist in completion of architectural and interior design construction documents.
- Supports the team in collecting information for client assessment; may attend interviews, provide documentation support.
- Overseeing the procurement of all raw materials and items required to complete the project.
- Inspect ongoing construction, keeping everyone involved in the project appraised of its progress.
- Ensuring project completion within the allocated budget and timeline.
- Organization and overseeing the resource library.
- Ensure all tasks meet compliance guidelines (building, fire, health, safety, ADA, etc.)
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Interior Design program or a related design program with bachelor's level degree.
- 1-2 years of experience
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team of professionals and consultants to meet project objectives on time and within scope and budget.
- Software proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Independent, self-starter with the ability to adapt.
- Proactively seeks regular feedback and is unafraid to ask questions and seek clarity on all aspects of design and business.
